A windy night left this bed of leaves relatively dry for our morning walk. This lane and it's offshoots has no year round residents yet, so there's little, if any traffic by this time of year.
Doug, you & Blue sure picked a great place for your morning walk. I wouldn't mind walking down that road during the fall months. Beautiful colors & the composition is spot on. Very well done.
There's no way in the world that you could keep Blue leashed. What a great place for a dog walk or even a people walk. Ollie would have a ball here and would run dry within minutes. Sniff sniff whiz whiz.
I like the way the road tops the hill and goes off into infinity. The colors are fabulous. I've always had an affinity for leafless trees; so I consider this shot very beautiful. I'm wondering why, when I go to Costco, they never have any Doug Bays calendars. I can't even find them online. This is the prototypical autumn calendar shot. Just perfect.
Two comments or questions:
#1) I have noticed that many of your postings are relatively small. I've noticed this with a number of other Caedes friends. Are you doing this to keep people from downloading your shots to re-post elsewhere as their own, or is this a function of your Internet access or lack thereof?
#2) All of the tees are leaning towards the center. Is this a natural phenomenon of did you forget to use ShiftN?
Got down low and got this really nice perspective. This looks so much like the place that I walk in the woods that it is uncanny. The color depth here is really good without any glaring over saturation. I appreciate that.
I for one in a futile effort to deny the fall season have glued, stapled, tied and welded all the leaves to the trees. My next step is to paint them all green again, that could take some time. A good perspective in this fall shot, Doug. Beautiful colours and a lovely view of this lonely lane.
