Well, maybe not, but that's what I call it. A series of short canyons running paralell with each other, ever downward to the lake, and about 150 yards from my home. The walking and climbing keeps me in shape, and the rocks and trees keep me from having Broadband.

My goodness that's quite a rock wall. Looks like the trees are reaching for the sunlight. Your narrative is funny. This view of your backyard is a thousand times better than a view of some high rise apartment buildings, don't you think? Your image is most natural looking and that is impressive.

I have to agree with Cindy on this one, beautifully taken, and presented. I sure would not mind this scene in my backyard, but I would miss the broadband! :) Tigs♥ =^..^=

Hi, Doug....

One of your better lines at the end of your narrative.

After looks at Thad's glacier shots, I get the impression that your back yard was full of glaciers 10's of thousands of years ago. That would have been when you were still in knickers, I think. Looks like treacherous terrain even by my standards.

I'm surprised you haven;t taken such fertile lands and created a vegetable garden. Hardly any rocks in that soil.

A wonderful shot crammed full of colors, depth, textures and verticals. You have some dense foliage to contend with. Ticks a problem there?

Natures patterns out your back eh!...I wouldn't fancy climbing that, but maybe you might have to, to fit a broadband cable eh!...

On the bright side at least you don't have to mow the backyard. A good capture of the rock wall, Doug. Nice colours and textures in the photo.
