It's 05:30 AM, early June, and I've been driving all night. Stopped to let Blue say hello to the horses. The St. Lawrence river in the background is flowing East-NothEast to the Atlantic. It's waters come from as far away as the head of the Great Lakes, a couple of thousand miles West, and at this point, the horses can watch whales that migrate up river from the Atlantic. I know this isn't sharp but thought it was interesting....and I'm heading SouthWest through Quebec, and home to Ontario. And No. I didn't see any whales, nor could I get any help from the horses as they had trouble understanding my grossly inadequate French vocabulary.

I really like this one Doug, the darkened silhouette of the horse, and the view beyond, with that wonderful moody sky, is superb. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I really like the lighting on this, Doug. The colors are quite vibrant as well. It's a moody, early morning shot, so tack sharp detail isn't really necessary since things aren't that sharply visible yet. I love the sky and the contrasts of light and dark.

A nicely composed scene in your photo, Doug. Good work with the early morning light. A nice moody sky in the scene and lovely colours.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
