Another of a Eastern Canada Milk snake. Just a frightened baby. He only wanted to know if I knew of any black and white undergrowth nearby. It's a very small portion of the frame, so the quality is poor, and I purposely over-smoothed it. Just thought he was cute.

A small portion of the frame? Does mean that you almost stepped on him while photographing something else. The mood of this creature looks a little too unwelcoming for my taste. Well composed though. The smoothing seems to have imbued the surfaces with a metallic look but the image retains it's interest which is the main thing. :-)

An interesting closeup on the snake, Doug. Lacks the depth necessary to make the snake leap out of the photo. Good details in the image.
