Maya is the family dog, and Jenna is the older sister of yesterday's post, Trish. The background was all blue sky, and I tried out a .8bf blend filter which provided reasonably compatible tones.
Great shot Doug. I can see your studio experience shining through. It has the feel of the great outdoors. The feeling of height is outstanding. Wonderful shot and you had beautiful models.
I really like this Doug. The framing sets it off nicely. The woman has that soft painted look to her which is very appealing but the dog being so dark has lost it's "definition". That is hard to overcome I know. Overall this is very well displayed and laid out!!
Congratulations. This is a masterwork on all levels for sure. I understand the comment above about the dog but somehow, although it's been reduced to a two-dimensional critter, even that still works superbly for me. I read once that good designs often have an element of solid black and this I believe well demonstrates the concept. A keeper!
The background manipulation makes it look like it has been shot in a studio. A nicely composed photo, Doug. Good colours and details in the image and a nice softness in the photo. My complaint would be the bleeding of the colours from the background onto the foreground scene.
