Just minutes from the Rio Grande, and Mexico, is the hamlet of Terligua, Texas. The image is another of the pioneer cemetery, or at least a small part of it. The area is getting a bit of development from snowbirds, but barely shows in the vastness of Southwest Texas.

Wood was probably at a premium in the pioneer days Doug. The markers have nice textures and look good against the perfect sky.
Well composed and edited.

A thought provoking image, the old wooden crosses really adds a somber mood of days gone by. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Terrific for color and the lighting with the downcast tone of the sun. It's all well worn, but still there. Great composition.

One terrific shot here Doug!! I'm pretty sure I see Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp riding up in the far distant hills:):0 Totally cool shot and composition!

A great looking scene and capture, Doug. Very nicely composed with sharp colours and details. Nice lighting in the photo.

I like the colors, clarity and the general quality as usual. I get a feeling that the center of interest is a bit indeterminate. A sense of rugged melancholy is effectively conveyed though.

Great shot and interesting subject. Looks like they at least made some attempt to carve the wood into pleasing shapes. Enjoyed this.
