These are quite tiny, and have such a short early Spring lifespan. We call them Dutchman's Breeches. Exposure info (Exif) as follows.. 400ISO, 136mm, f/11 @ 1/60th sec.

Doug - A difficult capture with which you were most successful. Lighting not he bloom is excellent. I might suggest burning the wood in the background, as it is just bright enough to draw the eye from the two beautiful small flowers. Thad

Nice use of the local flora to frame your photo. I would've just shot the flower heads and called it a day, but you've gone a bit ominous here. Anything could lumber out of those deep shadows, something primeval. A pair of beady eyes in the darkness is too much to hope for, but there's still an air of expectancy.
