"An evil old house, the kind some people call haunted, is like an undiscovered country waiting to be explored. Hill House had stood for 90 years and might stand for 90 more. Silence lay steadily against the wood and stone of Hill House, and whatever walked there... walked alone."
The opening voiceover from one of my favorite movies, 'The Haunting' with Julie Harris and Clare Bloom. Your picture reminds me of some of the exterior shots of Hill House, although on a smaller scale. The creepiness factor is high though and that's a good thing. If you haven't seen the original 1963 version, beg, borrow or steal a copy, it's a masterpiece.
The building has some really nice architectural lines and you have made it look so creepy in the moonlight. I love the detail. A really fine tonal range too. Nice work, Doug!
Only the cows have no doubts and even that is not completely proven yet. I do have my doubts - now. I like this B/W very much and I am not certain if this is not better than the coloured one.... THis is spooky [which I enjoy most before going to bed LOL]. I think I will make an exception from my rule for just this once. I prefer this one. SAM & SAAB
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
