Due South of Gila Bend, Arizona, and just a few miles from the Mexican border, lies Organ Pipe. Unlike the Saguaro cactus which produce arms in varied shapes and direction, the Organ Pipe variety are relatively straight stalks, generally slimmer, but still grow to significant heights. The recently posted Saguaro images were photographed just up the road directly behind me. The topographical East/West line that separates the Mohave and Sonoran deserts is close by, and the Sonoran drops deep into Mexico, just a few miles down the road, past this monument.

I really Like how you Softened this Image, Doug! ...it Gives the Observer a Feeling of the Heat in That environment! I don't Think I ever made it to That particular Park during my Time there, as There are Just so Many of them!! Nice work!

A nice smoothness and softness in the post work of this image. I like the b/w presentation of the scene. The seeming randomness of the blurred areas kind of takes away from the DoF you'd expect to see.
