Here's the original of the monochrome version posted a few days ago. I liked them both equally, and the black and white won the coin toss. It's quite a site, rising out of flat land in every direction, though it's only about forty miles NorthWest to Monument Valley.

I'm glad you shared this one with us to compare, this is good too, but my vote is the B&W. I like the dramatic feel to that one.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Wagons west saw a lot of beautiful virgin land Doug. I like the shots equally well. You are in John Ford country. :)

An awesome photo,Doug. Those huge craggy rocks make a bold statement against that deep blue in the sky. To me, the color conveys much more information & interest than drabby B&W. ...Ed

I feel the B&W adds a touch of drama to the shot, Doug.
Altho... both shots have their merits. Think it's just a personal preference.

Oh I love this one. It is an amazing structure that God fashioned. You have captured it to perfection...as always with your photos. The coloring makes it look to me like I could reach out and touch it! Thanks for sharing!
