Somewhere in Northwest Texas is the best I can do with this one.Just roaming the back roads on the way to Big Bend, but it was still a long way off. Oil pumps are a fairly common sight in Texas, and in many cases the pumps are not functioning. They probably have schedules for different areas.

Nice black and white photo, lot of the pumps aren't working , you are right. I think they should get them going again.

Great B&W Doug . Nice angle and contrasts. My Grandfather had a couple oil pumps of his farm in Southern Illinois , never came up with much. But a farmer not far from him , struck it rich. Most don't think of oil being in Southern Illinois but every nice in a while they hit it. This photo takes me back to my childhood on my Grandparents farm.
