Abandoned and rotting away, I came across this former homestead in the Ozark mountains in Arkansas.

Again, a marvelous B&W, and really what comes to my mind is the history behind this long forgotten structure. Tigs♥ =^..^=

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

1) Do you use Topaz B/W?
2) I always get the Ozarks and the Himalayas confused. I thought at first that you meant the Ozarks in Nepal.
3) Love the shot, Doug. No complaints from me. Excellent capture of the textures. The B/W appears to make the shack even more lonely.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

A little spit and polish and you have a new vacation home. I regrettably have to agree with Roger's third point about how the b/w enhances the loneliness of the scene. I like the dark shadows in the door and window.
