This lonely Texas sunflower, slightly chewed on, still presents herself as a lovely lady with a big grin on her face.

Leave it to your trusty photographer's eye to spot what others would have missed. You're not going to get much of a critique from me. Typically I can whine and bitch about something in a shot, but Raggedy Ann is just on the cusp of perfection. I love the noiseless background and the simplicity of the subject.

Well I've heard of eating sunflower seeds but this is the first time I've seen someone chew on the actual flower. A good angle in the photo and wonderful colours in the bloom. You could have cleared up all those spots in the sky with a bit of quick cloning or some brushwork.
