Another image from 1965 Quebec. My best guess is that this was an older sister, patiently waiting for her younger pre-school sister to finish her half day kindergarten session.
I know what she was thinking. She was wondering what "inprimeur regleur" meant. The online translator says it means "inprimer ruler" assuming that the text is French. If it's Latvian, it means "Doug Bites". The cute little girl is a dark haired Latvian. It doesn't take a detective to figure out what she thought about the photographer. I couldn't find the Canadian to Californian translator.
She seems to be deep in thought & you captured the moment perfectly, Doug. I'm enjoying these moments from the past. This one reminds me of my childhood as I was the oldest sibling.
The set up of this photo is perfect, the composition with the expression of this young girl captured at just the right moment and even the sidewalk in a battered state brings you back in time just like it was yesterday. It is actually perfect.
