Yesterday's Hawkeye may have given a wrong impression of his size. His body actually fits nicely in one hand, and here he stands posing for me in front of my home, but in a place identical to where I found him. If you enlarge this enough, you can see two trees and the lake reflected in his eyes.

How cool to get so close to one of these cuties, Doug. He/ she is adorable . I do see the reflections in his eyes . I am also surprised his parents didn't come to let you have a closer look at them ... lol Last year there was a nest back by the pond I could never get very close to them without a warning coming from above and I don't mean from Heaven ! Great camera work as usual!

Well, in the eyes I see the reflection of one tree [in each eye different] and the the lake [the same in both, I presume].
