A manipulated version from a rather old B&W negative. It's from a self imposed "Detroit Alleys" assignment many years ago when I was studying photography.

You wouldn't want to walk those alleys now-a.-days, from what I have heard of Detroit. Good piece of work that has made the B/W come more alive.

The grunge look works well here Doug.
Alleys can be quite interesting and dangerous.
You have quite the library.

Griswold is some character played by Chevy Chase isn't it?
What Chevy Chase has to do with the Detroit out-of-bounds area?
Or am I completely wrong again ? LOL
Moody, nostalgic and very much appealing, dear Doug.
Still how about Chevy Chase ?

Great post Doug. I went online to see if this was part of The Blue Note jazz club empire, which apparently it is not. One posted review said: " Blue Note Club, has an atmosphere that’s bordering on dive. Don’t take a date there." The backdoor alley comfirms what one might find inside.

It must be a Monday night if there is only one empty whiskey case in the trash. Nice vignetting of the scene and colour tones in the photo.
