Very imaginative Doug! The heron needs to fly right, so no drink for him. FUI (flying under the influence) could lead to losing one's wings.

I have been to a restaurant/bar called The Blue Heron. It sits high on a bluff in the Ozarks. Perhaps this is the owner, Doug.
