I don't know if adding a Frame is a Manipulation. If so, it's the only one. This Winter scene won me a Leica 111F a few years ago (1957), and the frame seems compatible. Think it's too much???

1957 was just day before yesterday.
The image is wonderful, but I do not accept this frame.:)

1957 I was 4 (don't want to make you feel old!). Original image - fantastic. Frame - original. Both together - different, not better but different.

I can see why you won, it's a awesome shot. The frame I think is a little overpowering. Just my opinion here.

That must have been quite a shot for those days Doug. No the frame is not too much especially because it is inside another bigger black backgound.

Now this is really a good one, I won't say how old I was back then, but I was a young'n, Lol! I would say it's a toss up with the frame, but I do think it works fine with the image.

None of your fine photography is ever too much, Doug.
The starkness with the bold lighting is really eye grabbing.
Congrats on your win, albeit some time ago.

I was 13 then!...The frame work is superb as is the image..but together one overpowers the main image!...

Maybe the frame being 'smaller' could work!.

But, I am jealous you won a Leica!...Huh!....been after one for years!..

I like the framework, though ice might be more appropriate given the subject of the photo. A great looking photo with a nice perspective and lighting.
