This is the edge of the town of Bear River, Nova Scotia., Canada. It sits a bit inland of the Bay of Fundy which flows in from the Atlantic, and has the highest tides in the world. The large building to the Left is the local Fire Department. It sits on huge piles, as do some of the homes along Bear River. It's obviously Low Tide here, but High Tide rises very close to the base of all the surrounding homes.

Doug, I like the composition, and the editing you have done with this one, bold, and rather dramatic. Not so sure that I would want the water level so close to my home, to each his own, but a great picture.

It looks like the perfect place to hide out from the law, Doug.
I enjoyed this one very much.

I have read about this area. The tides are extreme to say the least! Great shot.
