I work on F-15Cs and I still think the Warthog is one of the most awe inspiring jets ever flown. I've seen them in action on target fields and their total capabilities on the field of battle are never ending, bombing, strafing, mission support, tank busting, convoy protection, etc...the uses are endless and this picture captures that same awe that I've seen on the target fields. This one must've flown out of 90 MSS AFB because I don't know of any other air bases in Alaska. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Wow what a nice plane, sorry if he shoot sometimes his own guys, its sometimes a pbm?!...
But the whole picture is a great one, congratualtion David nice shoot. I have set it has my own wallpaper here LOL. Thanks ofr sharing that one with us.
Friendly,
Shelly.
Warthog no shoot own guys, pilot does. Have a brother_in_law, retired air force. Claims he saw a Warthog fly missing half it's skin and 1 engine. Told me this plane was actually designed by mechanics and that is why it can take a beating. If hydraulics are lost..manual systems everywhere. Engine changes in minutes, not hours, because of the way they are mounted.....etc etc . Fact or fiction? Awesome Picture I love the warthog
Absolutely beautiful....Use to watch these baby's fly up and down the easter US coast in Myrtle Beach area....they used to fly out of Myrtle Beach AFB before it was shut down.
