Just perfect, Mary! Such a wonderful idea for a shot and I guess that must be what's known as a Koan? Fascinating idea to consider. Beautiful photograph!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Yes, it must. My question is does it make friends with the fishes on the way down?! I like this so much. It just gets you to think.

Hey Mary,
Such a simple image, such meaningful scene, (~8 8~)
About your question,
Fresh; that depends on how you define it, or more accurately but more difficultly to find out, how the stone defines the word fresh,
A journey; indeed, a journey it is, but not plural unless the stone escapes the water again,
The stone, entering the water; a stark being, peaceful, lovely, attracted by earth, water, fire and wind,
You must be right, it must symbolize the evolution of our world,
Nicely done,

Thanks for sharing

Hmmm ... fresh journeys?

I will have to not think about that some more. ;o)

However, I do know that the stone probably gets a little wet at the bare minimum. Hope that helps. :oP

Lovely composition Mary, and a spellbinding one at that.

I like this one a lot. :o)

Curious as to what may, or may not get added if you employed a radial blur effect to soften some of the focus just outside the concentric ripples.

Just a thought.

Well done. The bronze tonalities really make this one for me.
