... over pleasant street... the moon is said to be 'gibbous' when it's between half-full and full... yikes! this is my first night shot with my new tripod.

This is really a good shot. Makes me feel all warm inside. The colors are really crisp and bright. Don't you wish the moon would stay still just for the few seconds it takes to get a night shot :)

This is goo oo oo oo oo .. oo ood.
A little undecided on the flare or fringing around the moon though. Might take away some of the reality, however ... I think ... think I would prefer a pristeen blue/black sky and more clearly delineated moon.
Which ... goes past the moment you caught here, oops ... I just was so impressed visually with the composition that I immediately thought ... print ... frame it, hang it.

have to say i knew the meaning of "gibbous".i like this one.it has a slightly voyeuristic feel and an air of mystery,as if things are going on undercover of the moon.a fave.best wishes,simon.
