(with many apologies to James Joyce...) this immature gull was highly indignant when I stepped too close for comfort as it was dining on a rather dead fish... I left the fish out...
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
Just gorgeously taken! The closeup of the gull is fabulous and the rocks in the water really set it off. Great work Mary!! :) :) :)By the way, I'm faving it!
My 'puter crashed the other day so I'm trying to get my new one up and running. ;-( This new OS (Vista) is going to take some getting used to. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to. ;-)

Well, of course he was indignant! He knows you have a secret thing for vintage sushi!
Beautiful capture; the water rippling over the stones rather mimics the play of color in his feathers. As always, I adore the light.
