chatham lighthouse on a foggy october evening... it was clear and the sun was setting in harwichport... as I drove three miles east into chatham a grey sea fog took over...
Well, you certainly caught the essence of the old place smack in the middle of a foggy day. Nice to see the grand dame doing her job. The photo has an early mid-19th century feel to it. Handsomely done. As always the light is sublime.
I have to grudgingly agree with dusa...grudgingly only that I wanted to say that too...perfect timing for what a lighthouse was built for and you can see that perfect beam of light shining out into the fog...what a great shot...
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
I love that light beam, and I also like images taken when there is fog, it makes everything look so smooth and calm, almost illusive. This is a wonderful shot!
