I was attracted by the light shining through the trees and how it reflected in the water, but when I saw it on my screen it seemed like the kind of place christopher robin might call 'the deep dark wood'...
Oh my, this is full of atmosphere, and the subdued autumn colours add to the ambience. I like the inclusion of the pole in the water, and that fish-splash adds a nice highlight. IMHO the shot needs rotating slightly to compensate for a slight downward drop to the right but it's still a lovely composition.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Beautiful photo Mary. It looks like a Big Buck could step out any moment. I was hunting this morning so I know. Love the fall colors and the stillness of the water. Gives me indicator that it's pretty quiet there. Very good.
This appears to be a magical woods :) The leafless trees are eerie but lovely and overshadow the other trees. Love the tall plants along the water. The lighting is amazing shining through the trees and onto the lake - beautiful shimmering reflections. Every bit of this image is perfect. I like the quietness and soft colors. This is a winner Mary, for sure!
