one of the many dirt roads and cartways that crisscross a large conservation parkland in brewster, massachusetts... the forest consists mostly of oak and pine trees and there are several ponds in the area... some of the roads can be driven through, others can only be accessed on foot or four-wheel drive... either way the area is a wonderful place for walking or for just taking a leisurely drive...

What a beautiful shot. Anytime there's a bend in a road or river, I automatically think it's a great photo. Something about the unknown. You've given me the impression it's just as beautiful around the bend and over the hill as it is here. Mabe even more so. Great photo with nice angle and composition. Very good Mary.

I have to agree with Tick and I'm so glad you captured some of the best of fall's color here. I just love looking at them, and is one of the reasons I decided to put up with the rest of the weather 'round here during the other parts of the year. Great lighting.

Again, this is a picture that could be a painting. It is lovely. The colours are fantastic with the contrast between the reds at the top and the blues/greys at the bottom.

Those Cape Cod oaks surely turn a nifty, faded-sail-cloth-red and in so doing they are the perfect foil for the sharp edges of autumnal light. This one's a peach; the road seems to point to enchantment.

Lighting at this time of year can make for some 'lower quality' images a lot of the time but it can certainly still wow you.
I love the colours that the light is bring out in this shot!
