"Could one white gull utter a word--- what would it be? What white feather of a word?" (Carl Sandburg).....(forgive me, my friends, for my absence here at Caedes, and my lack of words on each of your wonderful posted images.... I am going through a difficult family 'crunchie' right now and my emotions are all scattered... better times are coming...)

Beautiful picture. Love the colors, textures, warmth and shadows and light. Good luck with the family "crunchie".

What a study in textures! The grandular sand and the variety of stones all covered and glazed over. And then there is the untouched white feather, a stranger, alien to this environment attempting to join in with its new neighbors. A wonderful picture.

My sympathies with your family situation. It has left your skill with imagery unimpaired - this is a beautiful and clever shot.

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

Great post Mary. Rocks show the hard times in life, sand depicts the passing of time and the feather brings a light smile and will tickle you at times on your journey. Such is life. You sound like you're on the road to smiling again. I hope so.

Mary - comments are nice but we know you're here in spirit and what Tick said really puts it in perspective. When it comes to families keeping your sense of humor is of the utmost importance. Hang in there! ~Mary~

A beautiful set of textures,Mary. So sorry to hear you have family problems they are so emotionally draining and are often hard to cope with. But I hope you take some solace knowing that there are many of your Caedes' friends thinking about you and wishing that all is wall again soon.

I think all of your friends and mine have said it well, and I'm picking it up in your upload as well. Tick has put it beautifully as always, and I'll rest on his laurels. My energy and thoughts are with you, my friend.

the sunlight off the orangish stone is very nice. the addition of the white feather adds a nice balance to the entire shot, and I like the sun angle- ag - will think happier thoughts for you, until you can do it yourself

Good collection of colors and textures. How nice to find a clean pure white for contrast. The shadows also fall beautifully here
