okay I'm back... tentatively walking in new territory, but back to (almost) normal.... we went to provincetown for turkey day, to our favorite restaurant... arrived early enough to walk around and take lots of pictures... but where to start? Ptown is nothing if not... eclectic, colorful, artsy, 'quaint', bawdy, completely sea-drenched.... it's been called "key west north" and "the world's largest crazy house without iron bars or a fence"... so, there we were, on our way to the ptown wharf when we passed this scene... and what's better on turkey day afternoon while waiting for the bird to cook than to go down to the beach and toss a football around? this is quintessential ptown and thanksgiving rolled into one...

Looks like a lot going on besides football game. It's something for these old turkey eyes to feast on. For some reason I detect you're not especially fond of ptown. Just a wild guess. Don't reckon that's the Kennedys playing football. Irregardless I think this is interesting photo for someone who hasn't been to your beloved ptown.

I have been to ptown before and it is all you said it to be. I love the beach view of the town. I am very happy to read in your narrative that things a moving towards normal. I wish you all the best with that. My thoughts are with you.

Mary, this is where we become, as the saying goes, "Two nations divided by a common language." I don't see football on the beach, I see American Football on the beach. If it was football, as I'd see it, then you'd be looking at soccer! Whatever it's called this is a great shot that really tells the story of one afternoon in November. Thanks for that and your great narrative.

I like visiting ptown. I've been there twice and it was like two entirely different trips..and trippy it was!! Great place to visit and enjoy the local aura..nice pic of a very unconventional place, and aren't we all glad there are such places in which to watch people letting their hair down and/or letting our hair down too?

Hey the next Peyton Manning could be playing football here! I would have zoomed in a little more though.
