the light was intense across cape cod bay and I got there just in time... it was windy and cold and exhilarating on the beach that day... (dennis, massachusetts)
You held the camera pretty still for all that huffing and puffing to get there Mary. I'm glad you did because it is great. Almost looks like the pot at the end of the rainbow. The waves coming in to shore are really relaxing. Excellent work.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Wonderful Mary! The light is so beautiful and you captured it just in the right moment. I like the angle you used here too, with the stones in the forground. This goes right into my favs!
Mary you've blown it by telling everybody that you only just got there in time. You should have told us all how you'd spent ages setting up this wonderful shot! lol
My dear friend!! This is absolutely magnificent!! The moment I got this in the VB I knew this was something I would love to look at!! It reminds me so much of the photos I've posted of Lanai by the Sea, near Seaside, Or. But I love the texture feeling of this photo. The rocks in the front...the sand..the water 'puddles' with the wonderful reflection and then the sea itself..wow...just wonderful!!But most of all I love the way the sunlight is coming from above, even tho there are those dramatic clouds!! Mary this is one of your best. Thank you so much for a most lovely shot..right into my favs...and onto my desktop..We have such a disaster at our beautiful beaches right now..so it's a pleasure to look at this shot..verena
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
