walkers pond in brewster, cape cod, massachusetts... there was a more spectacular sunset happening behind me but I was caught by the gentle colors reflected in the eastern sky...
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
At first I thought it was Walden Pond. It's not but I imagine Thoreau wrote by one very similiar. It looks like a good place to sort out one's thoughts and place in society. Lot more things to sort out these days in this crazy world then Thoreau had to deal with. You've given us a good place to do just that. Very nice Mary.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

This definitely reminds me of Thoreau. I am wondering how you have such peaceful waters on the East Coast..I always thought it was more tumultuous there. The Pacific is so quiet most of the time...Lovely feeling in this scene of yours. Verena
