we're in the middle of our first snow on cape cod... soon to be followed over the weekend by the second... so of course I went slip-sliding out in it this afternoon in quest of some photos... and it amazes me how snow can transform a familiar landscape into something completely new... this is bells neck road in the harwich conservation area (massachusetts)... (and yes it was actively snowing at the time) ;-)))

Excellent photo Mary. I can almost feel the snow against my cheek. I can see it out of the corner of my eye. I'm trying to keep my eye on the road, but the scenery is so beautiful I'm having trouble. Love the contrast between the fall and winter colors. Good post.

Marvelous capture! Did you take this while it was still snowing or was it taken thru your windshield? Something is flying around there..lol..The lighting and scene is fantastic!

Another lovely shot. It looks like the tire marks almost go right up to the water.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

The great thing about cold, snowy weather is that wonderful warm glow you feel we you get inside and get warm. This is a lovely snow-scene, Mary.

A very nice capture Mary, you really get the sense of cold in this shot. A fantastic angle too. Well done.
