went down to 'our' beach in harwichport, and all the seagulls seemed to be playing games with the waves... I took a million pictures, of course only about five of them were good, lol!
"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
This is one for the spirits. The wave is lifting. The seagull is lifting. You must be very happy to capture the take-off to flight. Wonderful colors and great detail, too!
What extraordinary colours you've captured here, Mary! This has to be one of the most unusual posts of seagulls on Caedes, a fascinating and beautiful composition.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Ah the beauty of the digital world, yes? Delete 20 keep 2! I love your image Mary, wish "my" beach wasn't 2 hours away! The color is fascinating and a great stop action shot too!
I too love the color of the wave and the gull in flight. Your narrative reminds me of one of my favorite Groucho Marx lines: "If I've told you once (as he shakes his cigar) I've told you a million time, not to exaggerate1" Just a great post. Looks like you're off and running (flying) in '08.
Very good Mary.
