"The rhythmn of waves beats in the sea like a pulse in living flesh. It is pure force, forever embodying itself in a succession of watery shapes which vanish on its passing... There is beauty in it, and ancient terror." (Henry Beston, "The Outermost House")..... (note for all my friends here: please forgive my periodic absences and sometime lack of comments to each of you... I am still dealing with family illness that at times takes most of my energy... the road to recovery lies ahead but it's long and it still gets rocky...)

Not to worry, Mary. Do what you need to do. We on this site are just window dressing in the overall scheme of things. Nice to see you post one however. This almost looks like a large whale rolled up in a wave. Great capture and I liked the narrative. Good fortune to you and yours.

What a great photo for us in our turbulent times. I understand as I am dealing with the same. When we get a moment to upload a picture of ours and visit our friends on Caedes it is like a breath of fresh air! Yes the road is rocky but we and our families shall persevere because of our love for them!

One of the best depictions of a wave I have seen on Caedes. The colours are great, and I like the way you have emphasized the subject by shading the corners more darkly.

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

Mary, you concern yourself about the important things in your life, not whether we are offended if you comment or not because we're not.

Great action shot. I had to get a towel to dry myself off after looking at it. lol

I love this shot! The frothiness of the water makes the foreground look like snow...quite a crazy illusion. Great capture.

I have to echo Tick's comments. I'm AOL most of the time now too, but all things will pass and I hope that things work out well for you.

Best wishes to your family, and of course, yourself. I love your picture of the wave. I think I'll go surfing today...NOT...we don't have any waves and it's way too cold in Ohio, anyway.

What a magnificent photo!!!!!! The BEST wave action shot I've ever seen here!! My gosh, Mary, I don't know how you do it.Not only the force of this wave, but the beautiful frothiness also. It looks like silk. It's just amazing and I am almost speechless in wonderment!! Please tell me what kind of camera you use. I have one of your photos on my desktop now, but this one is coming to me next. I have a special file just for your photos and I want to thank you so so very much for these. You are special and so are your photos...thank you with all my heart. Verena
