this old meetinghouse in harwich was built in 1836 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings.... most of the headstones date from the mid-1800's....
What great lighting and colors. I like the symbolism of the Meeting House/Church and Sky/Heaven being in the bright sunlight and the cemetery/graves being in the shadows. Tells you where everyone should aspire to go. Nice work Mary.
The sunlight on the meeting house, was this caused by the clouds dashing away from the sun or by long afternoon shadows? This image is full of meaning.
I absolutely love this picture -- added to my favorites. It looks like a place I would want to visit someday. I love old buildings like this. I really appreciate you sharing this with everyone. :)
Psalm 1:3 "He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper."
La blancheur de l'église donne à ce cimetière un air de repos éternel..les ombrages sur les pierres tombales est un beau contraste avec le reste de la photo...great work
Well done !
