march came in blustery and cold last week... on the larger ponds wind-driven water soaked, and subsequently froze on, all the branches within reach... and when the sun shone through them they glittered like fine crystal...
Excellent shot Mary. I always like how the branches show up when they're covered in ice. They do look like blood vessels. Blood and water are life's ingredients. Good one.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
Edward Weston
We're supposed to be having more snow, but we're getting rain instead, so all our lovely ice is melting and falling off roofs!
I love this configuration you've captured. I love the way ice forms around objects and wraps them up so tightly.
