a cold, blustery, beautiful day... the wind was fearsome and the small craft warnings were up on cape cod bay... I stayed just long enough to get two or three shots and sand in my teeth...
There is so much to view and enjoy in this picture. That stone wall with the waves breaking against it is wonderful. Next we see the white crested waves arriving on the beach. And finally, we are treated to the browns and greens of the shore in the foreground. A remarkable picture, Mary.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Great shot for someone with a bad wing. Hope it's better. Looks really good HF and John said it much better than I ever can. Suffice it to say it has all the elements that make a great photo. Congratulations.
I like the colours very much. The picture captures the blusteriness of scene nicely. One point: I was somewhat distracted by the post(?) in the centre foreground. Otherwise a really good shot, Mary.
Gosh, that looks so like the beaches in my part of North-West England. I can feel that sand as I write this. Although I find the fine dust even worse when it goes in one's eyes.
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
Makes me a bit homesick, as I lived there several years. I never got enough of the ocean - this shot shows it to perfection. That's a rugged rock sea wall - or looks like one. The foreground grasses are lovely caught in the wind. Striking colors abound, and I can almost hear the roar of the sea. Thanks Mary, for this memory :^)
