one day last month I found myself driving down scudder avenue from hyannis center to hyannisport, and sort of ended up at the Kennedy compound...this pier on nantucket sound in hyannisport divides a residential beach from the compound... the pier is private, obviously part of the compound, but when I took this photo in late april, very few people were about... I have seen photos of the pier with various and sundry Kennedys on it, in fact Senator Ted and his wife were photographed here just yesterday... the photo isn't the best but I thought somehow it was appropriate right now...

This looks like a gorgeous and serene place. I love how you have framed this shot. The engraved stone is a very interesting addition to this image and also great because it is full of wonderful words. Very well done.

Fine angle on this shot with good composition.
Never seen a bench quite like that one.
Thanks.

This is really a great photo and tribute for Memorial Day HF. I tried to read the inscription on top of the bench but couldn't make it out. Love the blues and that is how I feel when I think of that dreadful day in November.

Have a great MD weekend and I added this to faves.
