the sky yesterday was incredible, everywhere I looked there were pictures to be taken... this is nantucket sound at ridgevale beach, south chatham (cape cod, massachusetts)
Wow this is some photo HF. The shadow from the pier in the water and sand is just too cool. That sky is so great. There are so many different colors and shapes in the sky. Throw in the ocean and you have one beautiful scene. Just great and I faved.
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
Everything about this image is absolutely fabulous - the rich colours, the fantastic sky, the awesome light and shadows - definitely a tenner in my book!
Oh this is sooooo beautiful - so beautiful. How lucky you were to walk it! How lucky we were to benefit from your walk. The lighting is amazing.. and so much to look at up close..
Solid leading lines, nice gentle arcs of water and shore combine well to lead us to the homes in the left hand side.
Bit curious, and this without the benefit of having been there ... any room to shift the framing/camera positon a tad? Such that the homes aren't as quite as tight to frame?
Looking at the largest resolution size available, great control on the element of exposure. Detail and clarity are very good.
Colours, shapes et al ... really nice work behind the lens.
Have a suggestion for an alternative title ... "Portent".
Operative and definitive in my mind, given the visual that you present to us here.
"Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap." - Robert Fulghum
Oh Mary, how I love days like this at the Ocean. There is nothing like it. I would love to see your part of the world, and maybe you could come here. Wouldn't that be nice? I love this photo so much. I am just kind of strolling thru your gallery tonight. Just for a bit. Thank you for all your photos and for giving us a part of your world. Verena
