summer boats at ryders cove, chatham, cape cod, massachusetts... actually... this is the very spot where I fell and fractured my arm in three places... in january there was of course no grass growing and the mud flats were mucky and slippery... you know I had to go back and make something kind of pretty out of a painful mistake... btw, the arm is all better now...

Good choice HF. It is like falling off a horse. You must get up, dust yourself off and get back on. What a magnificent scene you have captured with your return visit. The boats are reflecting with you as you recall that painful memory. You have come out of the shadows to face the light. This is the first step to full recovery.

That will be $300 and I will see you at the same time next Tuesday. Just a great post.

There's a duMaurier moodiness about this shot...the little skiff brooding in a shadow and the rest of the scene complaisant in sunshine. Rotten luck about the arm. Be careful!

Isn't it odd how one little boat at the shore can make a photo look so lonesome and melancholy?! I like how you got the warmth of the sunshine on this picture. Such a nice spot, but not so good for you to have harmed yourself...am glad you are all better now tho...gotta watch whatcha lookin' at when you're off taking these photos my friend!! :) Verena
