the sesuit neck beach (dennis, massachusetts) at low tide reminded me of a japanese sand garden... the evening was very meditative... (sorry I haven't been commenting on all your recent posts, my husband has been in the hospital for three days with some sort of bacterial infection... non-life-threatening it turns out, and he should be sprung tomorrow.) :-/

Stop it, stop it right now! How in the world do you find these spectacular shots, Mary? Never mind, I know, I know, and I've said it before. The eye of the artist sees what the rest of us (or myself anyway!) just walk past.

I love this one, Mary. the composition is superb and the reflections in the water almost make this seem like a manipulation. Very well done, as usual.

I'm glad to hear that your husband is due to be released and it is nothing more serious.

A really good shot HF and I am glad your man is going to be OK. I like the clouds being reflected and the rocks anchoring the scene. The sand looks like a sand trap on a golf course after it has been raked. Trust me I know. Have a good day.

With the carefully placed rocks, the beautifully raked sand and the pool placed to create a perfect reflection, it has to be a Japanese Sand Garden! Hope your husband gets better soon.

It has always amazed me since I was a child how the sea makes the sand appear with all those ripples. This is a lovely capture and with brilliant sky reflections too. Fav'd and thanks for sharing!

A nicely composed picture with good contrast between water and sand.
