the almost full moon rose like a ghost over pilgrim lake and the north truro sand dunes... I know this doesn't comply with the 'rule of thirds' but it was such a lovely sight I wanted to share it with you... (cape cod, massachusetts)

Mary, the mark of an artist is knowing when to take the rule of thirds (and other rules of composition as well) and throw them out the window. This is a lovely tranquil shot, subtly understated, and without a hint of noise in it. Well done and thanx for sharing!

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro!
Very nice! There are 2 specks in the water that I think are ducks. They are a distraction because one of the desirable things aboiut this pic is the simplicity and minimalism. I would edit them out. Great shading, colour, presentation....

Well I never heard of this rule of thirds, so I can't say much about that Mary. But I do know this is a fine capture with great clarity and color. Simple and beautiful to look at!
