After cresting the ridge of any high place, be it mountain, hill or sand dune, it behooves one to take a rest and to take a look back, meditating on the journey so far... (the province lands, north truro, cape cod, massachusetts)

I hope the tireprints and the footprints didn't happen at the same time. The footprints and the title are perfect together. I love the golden hue of the grasses versus the earthy tone of the sand. Very good HF

The tyre and footprints do rather mar an otherwise perfectly natural picture and remove the gentle sand undulations between the grasses. Another form of pollution perhaps. The grass lines and contrast in colour with the sky work well here.

A truly beautiful scene Mary. The grasses to the right are a most glorious colour and award yourself a Gold Star for getting the word "behooves" into the narrative.

Mary, this is just perfect. The sky, the sand, the tracks and footprints. Composition is excellent.

I like EJ's comment, Mary. As I've said before one of the marks of true art is whether or not the art tells it's own story...or invites the viewer to invent their own story. I think this works well in that respect.

The left hand side is a bit over-exposed, but not much chance of getting around that without losing the shadows and the excelent composition you have here.

Your narrative is just an added bonus...words of advice well heeded on this end.
