every year fences are put up to hinder the gale-blown sand and every year the sand just drifts anyway, burying the fences... a statement on futility, or perhaps on a fundamental law of the universe: nothing is permanent but change...

In case you hadn't heard, my computer crashed this morning. I thought the hard drive was fryed. My grandson is a computer whiz. He works for a company in Florida that helps with problems for people like me that don't know much. He walked me through the steps to repair the hard drive. Therefore I am back up and running. It truly does come down to who you know. You might see this message a lot because I am going to copy and paste as opposed to explaining it all every time.

...but those dunes created by the fences and blowing sand not only protect the land and homes nearby from falling into the ocean, but they also make great shots like this possible. Love the B&W.
