the second bird in from the left had just flown in to roost on the lamppost for the night and there was a bit of a squabble as everyone made sure the newcomer was someone they all approved of...

Taken from a wonderful angle and caught in the sunset's red glow the cormorants look strange and beautiful. Of course they're checking the newcomer out. You wouldn't want to share your lamp-post with just anybody, would you?
