it isn't snow and it isn't exactly ice, and it's definitely not whipped cream... it's frozen sea foam deposited in layers by the changing tides... walking through it felt kind of squishy and strange...

Frozen footsteps must be a wonderful metaphor for something but I don't know what. Wonderful patterns in the "snow/ice/slush".

Looks too much like frozen snow and ice to me, but I like it a lot. Nice photo, with wonderful lighting.
