this is a picture of a seagull impersonating a duck decoy, probably in hopes that I won't step so close he'll have to get up (perish the thought) from his selected evening roost and fly away... but I did and he did... ;-))

A very good shot of the seagull. Great details and colors. I hope he found another place just as good :-) Great work!

What lovely brown eyes he/she has. Who'd have thought that seagulls have brown eyes? A lovely detailed close-up Mary of this wooden duck.

Excellent shot and title. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to attract more gulls. It does seem to be whittled with your lens.

Good post HF.

Perhaps it was a duck doing a very good impersonation of a seagull so he wouldn't get shot at. Good detail and use of DoF.

Oh he looks so contented. And I want to reach in to touch his feathers, feel his warmth. Love the trace of someone's lipstick on his lower beak.
