ordinarily I'm not that fond of portrait format but it was the only way I could crop out a lot of wires and fit the female osprey's entire wing into the picture... osprey wingspans can measure as long as six feet... very impressive when she's perching directly above you...

A treat to see her wing stretched out! I know you would prefer the wires not there, but they afforded this view. Nice work, thank you for sharing it.

That's alot of wing Mary! No wonder they can get up high. They are a stealth looking bird. Your photo is very nice! I know what you mean about wires or power lines. They can be annoying. I have one photo like that, to erase the lines so it will look good. Still haven't done it. Beautiful bird and thanks for your nice photo of it! Allen

Wow, this makes that pigeon wing look like a piper cub. Another great shot HF. Do you have some command or whistle that makes them stretch their wings?

I really like the texture of the pole.

What a great capture what a beautiful bird, if it was perched on a branch of a tree with a wonderful vista behind it it would be worth 11 out of 10, still its an excellent capture thanks for sharing.

Hmmm.. Beautiful image and an impressive bird. Umm, are those old blood stains on the beam? Looks like she likes to eat up there. Also, is it a blood stain on her Right leg? I think this image is a perfect representation of a predator: live dangerously.
