her sibling had already sailed free of the nest and now it was her turn.... she spent a long time beating her wings up and down, strengthening them, in between resting periods... her parents had stopped feeding her and her hunger was pushing her to the edge of the nest and beyond...

Aaaaahhhhhh, to be young and carefree. Good idea, but I don't think this old body could handle it. Great shot of the beginning of an adventure in the skies for this beauty. The eye is stunning.

Yep, sometimes it takes a disgruntled parent for the kid to get the message... :) Magnificent wings... Although they seem smaller than I'd have expected, without any recognizable objects close to her for comparison.
