Hey Mary
Those are some dark ominous clouds out there! Love the way the sun shines through that wooden fence and against the snow. Sure is a Beautiful image.

If there were no fences, this image could be taken on another planet, lol.
Perfect post Mary.

Mary - Again, you have captured the essence of the Cape, here in the winter, with the juxtaposition of snow and dune grasses. The late day sunlight, combined with the undulating dunes and fence, creates wonderful shadows and highlights. Enjoy the rest of the walk on the beach! Thad

The lighting definitely steals the show in this one HF. Composition is great as well. Contrasts make it even more appealing. Snow is not my idea of a "day at the beach." :)
Excellent post.

Excellent use of low light, Mary. Love the tones and contrasts. The placement of the fence.. I'm on the fence about it.. maybe a wider angle, or a pan to the left?

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Magnificent lighting and capture Mary. Oh my snow on the sand, that's a scary thought. I guess you won't be going to the beach for a swim, lol.

Very well done. That is something I have never seen. A beach with snow! The lighting is amazing and you are right it does appear unreal as a result.

Mary, this is so special. I love the view of the storm as it is leaving the area and the sunlight of the approaching new day is taking command of the area.

This is amazing. And I can remember seeing something like it in January 1982 during a blizzard on the Cape. What a capture.
