a blustery november day at the beach... taken at a cape cod bay beach in the town of dennis... the skies we were having that week were wonderful. btw, I'm still here, and though my lyme disease is still being really ornery, I log in every night just to say 'hi'... I miss you guys!

Mary - From the lighting, I'd say you were out for an early-in-the-day walk on the Bay. Catching the sunlight at the angle that highlights the cloud tops and leaves the lower areas darker gives such wonderful contrasts. Add the curve of the beach, the break in the foreground and low bluffs along the beach and there is a dramatic scene captured with your creative eye.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

Gorgeous colours and that sky is superb. One thing, I have a sneaking feeling the image is tilted a bit to the right, not so clear with that curving shoreline but the flat underneath of all those clouds would generally indicate a temperature inversion at that level of the atmosphere, which would be mean the underneath flatness of those clouds should probably be as level as a normal horizon line. But it all could be perspective tricking my eyes.
